What we do

Medical imaging such as x-rays and ultrasounds at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) and the QE Specialist Centre are provided by South Australia Medical Imaging (SAMI).

SAMI is a statewide service providing medical imaging services to public and private inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients within seven metropolitan and four country South Australian hospitals.

Services at TQEH

  • General x-ray
  • Digital fluoroscopy
  • Ultrasound
  • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Mammography
  • Angiography/interventional
  • Nuclear medicine.

Services at the QE Specialist Centre

  • General x-ray
  • Ultrasound (including vascular, pregnancy, MSK injections)
  • Computed tomography (CT) (including cardiac, spinal injections)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) via TQEH
  • Minor procedures (including joint injections)
  • Nuclear medicine.

Open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Nuclear Medicine

Level 3A, Tower Block, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital
28 Woodville Road, Woodville South.

Open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

QE Specialist Centre

35 Woodville Road, Woodville South (opposite TQEH)

Open Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
